A Room Full Of Stuffed Animals
65How to arrange your stuffed animals
Stuffed animals are commonly given to children as gifts. Most children start collecting a variety of stuffed animals shortly after birth, before leaving the hospital. Over time, a child’s stuffed animal collection can become quite extensive.
It is fairly common to see an assortment of stuffed toys on a child’s bed. In some cases, it eventually becomes difficult to see the bed, or bedroom floor, hidden under the large assortment of animals. There are helpful storage options for organizing a lot of stuffed animals.
Many large stuffed animals can stand or sit in the corners of the room. Some can host a rider or two. A large zebra or giraffe can carry a medium sized bear or monkey on its back. A big stuffed elephant can handle several smaller riders, like a bunny, a cat, and a baby chick. Some kids’ bedrooms have enough space to place a few large animals at the foot of the bed.
There are several excellent options for storing and organizing medium and small toy animals. Baskets and plastic storage bins can be used if there is enough space in the room. Stackable bins or plastic crates provide space saving storage.
Wall mounted shelving is a great option for displaying stuffed animal friends in many bedrooms. Over the door shoe organizers can be used to store smaller animals.
A hanging plastic chain with clips is manufactured and sold for the purpose of organizing stuffed animals, also. These chains are terrific for storing a number of animals in a small bedroom.
Several chains can be hung around the room to provide a lot of space saving organization. However, younger children may have some difficulty operating the clips and may need some assistance from an older sibling or parent.
A pet net is another fantastic storage option. These nets are available in several sizes. The net is hung in the corner for convenient, off the floor, stuffed animal storage. A net can be placed in each corner to hold quite a few animal friends.
Two nets can be placed at different heights in each corner, if needed. A pet hammock is a similar stuffed animal storage solution. Pet hammocks are generally larger than the pet nets.
Using some, or all, of these stuffed animal organizing storage solutions will help keep the child’s room neat and tidy while safely storing their stuffed animal buddies. And, perhaps, a few of their favorite animal friends can have a spot on the bed.
